Recorded live with no overdubs at the historic Bustrous Palace in Beirut — a building that has endured the Lebanese Civil War, multiple military campaigns, and the devastating 2020 Beirut harbor explosion — TAQATO3 captures an extraordinary moment of spontaneous connection between three accomplished improvisers. Violinist Mike Khoury, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Sharif Sehnaoui, and bassist Raed Yassin came together during the Irtijal Festival in 2018, with Khoury noting that "the three of us had an instant connection with a common understood language that predated all of us."

TAQATO3 stands as a testament to the power of organic, in-the-moment music-making, executed, as one description puts it, "at the very precipice of improvisation" while capturing both the spirit of its remarkable setting and the essence of the moment.
