Towards an Expanse meditates on learning to live with damage while reclaiming how Black life is archived — drawing on the voices and legacies of icons like Miriam Makeba, Busi Mhlongo, and Madosini and bringing them into dialogue with Dumama's global, forward-thinking sensibilities. The result is a deeply layered and emotionally resonant work that balances hand drums, organ drone, and synth textures with remarkable intention, released on the globally respected Soundway Records label.
